West Didsbury Re-Roof

The March and April shower period typically provides Pinnacle Roof and Build with plenty of work in the early Spring months. The higher majority are typical re-roofing jobs expected around the region.

Due to Manchester and Stockport seeing multiple changes in weather around this time of year from one day to the next, our team has to work fast yet professionally on projects to safeguard the home from the next unpredictable weather outburst.

One such property was a home in West Didsbury, desperately needing re-roofing due to its poor condition.

Upon our consultation and first inspection of the existing roof, we discovered its poor condition not only stemmed from the slate work but also that it had no felt installed. We informed the client of the amount of work required to safeguard their home, and our team was given the go-ahead to begin.

Our team stripped back the roof to the spars, allowing us to apply a new breathable membrane and install fresh, new, treated battens to the roof. Once completed, our skilled team insulated the loft space with regulation standard 300mm of insulation, helping to keep the property warm and prevent heat from escaping.

Added Design Elements

The client desired to add a Velux window to the rear of the property to allow for more natural light to the space, which our team incorporated into the design plan and installed, surrounding the remaining roof with fresh Marley Double Roman tiling.

For added protection against the harsher elements witnessed around the area, the team provided new welded back gutters and installed new flashings around the front and rear of the chimney. We implemented a brand new dry-fix ridge system into the roof and finished the project with the inclusion of felt support trays and eave venting, helping to sustain the life of the roof for decades to come.

Certificate Issued

Upon completion of the work, we issued the client a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate. The customer was happy with the finished roof work and commended our team for their professionalism and transparency throughout the process.

Working in a high pressure law firm means we often don’t have time to turn our attention to the things that need doing to the building we work in.

Since we occupied our Cheadle offices back in 2017, we have have always had and issue with the flat roof at the back. Any time we have tried to resolve it, we have either been met with unreliable workmen, or extortionate quotes.

Once Brad joined BNI – and after hearing about all the fantastic work he had done for fellow members – we decided to call him in to quote. After attending the offices and providing a very reasonable and detailed quotation, we instructed Pinnacle Roof and Build to replace the flat roof at the office.

Brad and his team always turned up on the days and times stipulated – and if there was ever a change in the schedule, Brad would always let me know in advance.

It wasn’t the easiest of jobs, and Brad and his team were met with a lot of challenges – but despite this, the invoice at the end did not exceed the initial quote, and the works were still completed in time.

All in all, Pinnacle Roof and Build provided a first class service. They went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to family, friends, and business associates.
