The team at Pinnacle Roof and Build recently completed a great job in Poynton where a home required a full roof conversion.
Job Layout
This particular job fell in the months when rainfall was heavier resulting in the team considering the weather pattern before removing the roof. We took the time to cover the roof with a temporary roof built on the scaffold. The Pinnacle team comprised two joiners and two roofers on site to complete this specific project.
First Task: Stripping Existing
The first part of the project involved stripping the existing concrete hard row tiles from the roof and modernising the dormers on the front. This specific job also required the removal of the back dormers and adding a huge dormer to create additional living space.
Second Task: Implementing
To add to the effect, the team worked on adding a sun tunnel and a stunning Velux window that provided additional light to the home. We took the next phase of the roof conversion to insulate throughout and slate back in with fibre cement slates in slate grey. We fixed these down with copper nails and rivets.
Final Touches
We then covered the four flat roofs with Firestone EPDM rubber and finished the facias, soffits, and gutters in anthracite aluminium for a reliable and secure roof completion.
The finished conversation looked amazing, and the homeowners were overjoyed with their new look roof, giving their home a whole new character.
