The Pinnacle team cover a lot of different roofing jobs around the Manchester and Stockport area for a wide variety of clients.
One of the team’s most recent roofing jobs was a complete re-roof for a property in Cheadle Hume. The customer desired a fresh look for their home roof
Problems
The existing roof had missing felt in a few areas that required replacing with something more suitable for today’s roofing requirements.
We also decided to change the existing felt for one that was more breathable in 1F undertile felt, which is the traditional under slating still favoured by many roofers and fully compliant with British Standards.
Project
The project had 4 main components that our team specialised in. The first focused on re-roofing the house with brand new Marley Ludlow Plus tiles in the colour of antique brown.
This small-format interlocking tile is a functional design that is easier to handle on-site and has a reduction in potential waste. Considered a modern alternative to standard tiles, these tiles have a lower environmental impact, as well as a lower impact on the client’s budget.
The second was to install a dry ridge system across the peak of the roof for a clean finish, installing them securely with screws and clamps with waterproof unions beneath to divert any water away from the join.
A third part of the project was laying fire retardant insulation beneath and on top of the felt above the party wall, preventing any heat loss and providing a full sound deduction.
The final part of the project was to insulate the loft space with 270mm thick insulation to support the roof and complete the full project.
Finish
The team at Pinnacle, a Manchester roofing company, completed the project within a turnaround of 1 week with a team consisting of 4 members.
The client was very impressed and happy with their new roof and has praised the work put into their home by our professional team.
