This was caused by the roof on the small lean being compromised and requiring some work to be done to protect the interior. The team at Pinnacle arrived at the location to assess the extent of the damage and the best possible solution.
Investigation
Upon investigation into the property’s lean, the Pinnacle team discovered that the existing tiles were not the right profile to suit the pitched roof installation. This was resulting in capillary action and the tile runners allowing rainwater to enter the property and cause the damage.
As the roof was very low pitch, the Pinnacle Roof and Build team determined that the best course of action was fully replacing the existing tiles with tiles suitable for a low pitch. As there would be an element of working at a certain height on this particular job, the team erected scaffolding to assure safety when working at height.
Re-Roofing
With no structural damage to the roof, the Pinnacle team determined that the best tiles for replacing were Mendip 12.5 Interlocking roof tiles. These tiles are ideal for low pitch roofs such as the one in this case, with the new Mendip 12.5 able to better perform with exceptional strength and visual appeal.
Two team members from Pinnacle Roof and Build, a Manchester roofing company, conducted the operation and removed all existing tiles, disposing of the waste into a skip. Various tools between us on the job (hammers, drills etc).
The Finished Result
The finished result was a stylish and sturdy re-roofing that stopped then leaking and added a great visual look to the rear of the home, reinforcing the lean for many decades to come. The client was once again extremely happy with the work from Pinnacle Roof and Build.
