Box Gutter Replacement, Mellor

Box gutters are a regular victim of leaking as they handle large quantities of unforgiving rain. If there is fault or failure in the box gutter, rainwater will gain access to the building causing all manner of damage.

At Pinnacle Roof and Build, our team has worked on a majority of projects that have involved a full reworking of box gutters.

A recent client of Pinnacle Roof and Build was experiencing leaking from the box gutter due to the lead that was used splitting.

After determining the best course of action for removal and repair, our team determined that lead could be replaced with EPDM rubber. EPDM membranes remain stable with a life expectancy that can perform for over 50 years, providing safety against serious water damage to the house.

EPDM rubber is a great alternative to lead for box gutters as it is relatively cheaper and cannot be stolen.

Once our team had evaluated the problem and planned out how to safely fix the problem, we set about carefully removing all lead and surrounding rotten timber as well as debris from around the area.

Once this was completed, we re-boarded the area in OSB timber due to it being more water-resistant than plywood. For the finish, we utilized fleece black rubber

Re-boarded in OSB timber and finished with fleece black rubber EPDM to provide a sustainable finish to the job, looking seamless and providing a secure replacement over the unreliable lead option that once occupied the property.

Box gutter replacement is another speciality for the team at Pinnacle Roof and Build, who look into sustainable and cost-effective ways to fix a multitude of problems.

Working in a high pressure law firm means we often don’t have time to turn our attention to the things that need doing to the building we work in.

Since we occupied our Cheadle offices back in 2017, we have have always had and issue with the flat roof at the back. Any time we have tried to resolve it, we have either been met with unreliable workmen, or extortionate quotes.

Once Brad joined BNI – and after hearing about all the fantastic work he had done for fellow members – we decided to call him in to quote. After attending the offices and providing a very reasonable and detailed quotation, we instructed Pinnacle Roof and Build to replace the flat roof at the office.

Brad and his team always turned up on the days and times stipulated – and if there was ever a change in the schedule, Brad would always let me know in advance.

It wasn’t the easiest of jobs, and Brad and his team were met with a lot of challenges – but despite this, the invoice at the end did not exceed the initial quote, and the works were still completed in time.

All in all, Pinnacle Roof and Build provided a first class service. They went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to family, friends, and business associates.
